Buyer’s checklist

Six questions to ask any telemedicine supplier.

Use the same scenario, the same pass criteria and these six questions for every option on your shortlist. They apply to any supplier, including us.

  1. 1

Which exact system and configuration are you proposing?

Brochures combine capabilities from different versions and options. Ask for the software version and build, enabled modules, equipment models and the services included.

Look for: A written configuration list you can test against.

  2. 2

Which device data reaches the record automatically, and which is typed in by hand?

A device that is physically in the kit is not necessarily connected to the record. The difference matters for workload and data quality.

Look for: A per-device list of what is supplied, how its data enters the encounter and who owns the interface.

  3. 3

What does the remote clinician actually see, control and document?

A video call is not the same as clinical context. Shared monitoring, ECG, examination media and consultation notes each need to be shown.

Look for: A live demonstration of each shared view, with clear responsibility for the consultation record.

  4. 4

What keeps working when the connection drops, and how do you recover?

Field networks fail. A restored network is not the same as a restored application or a reconciled record.

Look for: A safe, agreed outage test showing local work, reconnection and record reconciliation as separate results.

  5. 5

How do you prove the record was received, not just saved?

Local save, submission, receipt and clinical handover are different events with different owners.

Look for: A traced record from the patient side to a locatable received record, and a named owner for rejected or unmatched records.

  6. 6

Who trains, maintains and supports the system in Türkiye?

Sustainment decides whether a system is still in use a year later: training, spares, consumables, maintenance and access administration.

Look for: Named local owners, a support route and a plan for spares and familiarisation.

A fair comparison uses equivalent scope. If you measure setup time, task completion or cost, define the method first. Based on the evaluation method in the LifeBot Competitive Edge brief (v1.2). Prepared by AEGISCOP · info@aegiscop.com · +90 544 505 16 76
